Dressing for Spring is always an adventure as you dabble between winter and lighter items to suit your mood and temperature degrees. Then, there are those that seems like they were created for transitional weather take the windbreaker for example. Although it had a bad rap it recently made a great comeback. Perhaps it’s due to our love for athleisure that has allowed designers to offer us a brand new range of elevated windbreakers and athletic accessories.

Take Alexander Wang’s super sporty version of eye-catching windbreakers both full-length and cropped styles. Sacai and Louis Vuitton also served us with an array of embellished styles including patterns and sequins. Last fall, innovative funky windbreakers made an appearance on the runways of designers like Isabel Marant and Valentino.

But, more recently Paris street style proved that these jackets were among the standout trends. The brightly coloured styles from the 80’s and 90’s are gaining massive popularity especially paired with other streetwear faves like vinyl pants and dad sneakers.

Celebs also gave their own styling tips. Take Kaia Gerber who was spotted in a windbreaker zipped over a turtleneck with jeans and her favourite white sneakers. Gigi Hadid appeared in NYC sporting a vintage windbreaker with plaid trousers and boots.

Pair your own windbreaker with a spring dress, dad shoes and a cross body round bag for the perfect daywear outfit that you can wear to your brunch or run errands. Opt for an old-school version and don it over a crop top leggings and sneakers for the ultimate athleisure version.
How will you be sporting your windbreaker this Spring?
